The Director General (DG) of Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) Maj Gen Johnny Hamakim (rtd) has advised officers and soldiers of the Centre to develop their capacity for knowledge in order to be proficient both in service and after service.
This was made known by Brig Gen EA Attu who represented the DG during the decoration ceremony of the newly promoted soldiers of the Centre for 2018 WO – Pte Promotion released recently by the Army Headquarters.
According to the DG, the Army of today globally, is knowledge based and not the use of naked force as it used to be in the past. He enjoined officers and soldiers of the Centre to brace up and build their capacity for skills that will position them for both military and civil responsibilities after their service years.
Gen Hamakim congratulated the newly promoted soldiers and specially paid tributes to their family for keeping the home fronts comfortable for them. He later advised them to work harder because to whom much is given, much is also expected of him.
In his vote of thanks, Warrant Officer (WO) Tonye Tomkiniye thanked the almighty God, the Army and the Centre for counting them worthy of their elevations to the new ranks. He pledged on behalf of others not to betray the confidence reposed in them.
The three newly promoted soldiers of the Centre are; WO Tonye Tomkiniye, Cpl Basiru Sani and Lcpl Abu Maimuna. The decoration ceremony was witnessed by senior officers, officers, soldiers, civilian staff of the Centre and family members of the newly promoted soldiers.
