Maj Gen Wahab, while congratulating the officers charged them not to rest in their responsibilities of discharging their military duties in line with the Chief of Army Staff vision which is to have a “Professionally Responsive Nigerian Army in the Discharge of its Constitutional Role”. He also advised them to work assiduously to achieve greater goals as their career progresses. He further, commended the officer’s wives for being focused in making the home front comfortable for their families over the years.
In his vote of thanks on behalf of the other celebrants, Lt Col U Yakubu expressed gratitude to God and the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt Gen TY Buratai for finding them worthy of the elevation to the enviable ranks. In the same vein, he thanked the DG NARC Maj Gen Wahab (Rtd) for his mentorship and professional guidance throughout the years. He equally assured that, they will re-double their efforts to justify the trust reposed on them by the Nigerian Army. The four officers were among the beneficiaries of the year 2019 NA promotion exercise.
Similarly, the occasion was also used to sendoff Warrant Officer Adamu Usman who recently disengaged from the Nigerian Army after a successful tour of duty.
