NARC AWARDED BEST CENTRE OF THE YEAR 2021
The Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) has been awarded the Best Centre of the year 2021 by the Security Waves Magazine under the auspices of African Excellent Achievers Award in commemoration with the 10 years anniversary celebration of its establishment.
The award ceremony which took place on Wednesday 24 February 2021, at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja was well attended by the senior management staff of both institutions.
According to the Publisher and Editor-In-Chief of Security Waves Magazine, Mr Gideon Ukpabi, the Centre was selected for the award for her outstanding performance towards achieving its mandate of providing research based solution to security issues. “The Centre has worked fearlessly to achieve its mandate of providing research based solutions to issues of national security”, he said.
He further said, the Centre has achieved a lot within its short period of establishment and this seemingly shows on its level of collaborations with other reputable global institutions such as the United Services Institute India (USSI), Harvard Kennedy Executive School, United States of America and the Kings College London, United Kingdom amongst others.
In his reponse, the Director General NARC, Major General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (Rtd) expressed his appreciation to the organisers for recognizing the Centre for the award, adding that the award is the beginning of greater things to come to the Centre. He also commended the entire staff of the Centre for their contributions and impact towards achieving the Centre’s mandate.
The high point of the event was the presentation of the award and certificate to the DG NARC on behalf of the Centre. Present at the event were the Executive Director NARC Consult, Major General JJ Ogunlade and other senior management staff of the both institutions.
