The Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) has held a graduation ceremony for participants of Work Ethics and Organisational Performance Course 2/2021 after a 4-day intensive training for 140 personnel of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, para-military and corporate organisations.
It was emphasized that the essence of the course was to further deepen an organisational ethics and performance among staff and management in setting realistic targets and in motivating employees which will without doubt help in achieving optimal performance among individuals and group within an establishment.
Earlier, the Director General (DG) , NARC, Major General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (Rtd) expressed his sincere appreciation to each and every participant for their conduct throughout the period of the programme. He also thanked all the sponsor organisations, Defence Headquarters, (DHQ), Defence Space Agency (DSA), Army Headquarters (AHQ), Nigerian Army Education Corps (NAEC) Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) among many others who have keyed into this programme.
The DG also informed that, work ethics is going to be at the front burner for virtually all the organisations in the world. In addition, he said that there is going to be organisational problem without change of attitude and it is left for individuals to have what it takes to work hard and move their organisations forward.
However, Master Warrant Officer Haruna Sani in a vote of thanks on behalf of other participants expressed his profound gratitude to the various oragaisations for giving them the opportunity to attend the course and the NARC for organising and also creating an enabling environment for them throughout the period of the course.
“We are now better informed on how to set targets, motivate personnel or employees placed under us as well as means and ways of enhancing performance in our organisations”, he said.
The high point of the ceremony was the presentation of certificates to the participants by the Director General NARC Major General Ayodeji Wahab (Rtd).
