The Commander Guards Brigade, Brigadier General Mohammed Usman on 6th September 2019 paid a courtesy visit to the Director General Nigerian Army Resource Centre (DG NARC) Major General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (rtd) at the office Complex, Abuja. Brigadier General Usman along with his staff officers visited the DG and his management staff as a mark of respect for the DG and the Centre.
Briefing the DG on behalf of his staff, Brigadier General Usman expressed that, it is customary on assumption of office as the new Brigade Commander to familiarize himself with his Area of Responsibilities (AOR). He also stressed that Guards Brigade task is based primarily on protecting the President, his immediate family members and the seat of power. He added that achieving this responsibility naturally requires synergy with other security agencies.
Speaking earlier, the DG NARC Maj Gen GA Wahab thanked the Commander Guards Brigade on behalf of the officers, soldiers and civilian staff of the Centre for the visit. He also stated that the visit is a mark of a closer relationship for both parties.
The DG equally used the opportunity to intimate him on the activities of the Centre, its mission, vision as well as the mandate which is to proffer solutions to Defence and security related issues particularly in Nigerian Army and the Nation in general.
