The Director General (DG), Nigeria Army Resource Centre ( NARC), Major General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (Rtd) today Monday, 6 December 2021 decorated one of the newly promoted senior officers, Maj Chioma Edith Okelue who benefitted from the recent promotion exercises conducted by the Nigerian Army. The event took place at Conference Hall “C”, TY Buratai Block of the Centre.
The Director General in his remarks adviced Lt Col Chioma Okelue to re-double her effort and perform better than she did before, adding that she has been compensated for her hardwork and that the challenge is back to her because she is now a Commanding Officer if she was in an operational ground. “The Nigerian Army has found you worthy promotion and you must live up to that expectation”, he said.
While delivering her vote of thanks, Lt Col Okelue thanked the Almighty God for sparing her life to witness her elevation to a new rank in the Nigerian Army. She also thanked the Chief of Army Staff for finding her worthy of promotion. The senior officer thanked the DG NARC for his turtorship and fatherly role that he plays in her life. She also thanked her family members for being there for her when she needed them most.
Present at the ceremony were the Senior Research Fellows, Directors, Senior officers both serving and retired, civilian staff of the Centre, family and friends of the celebrant.
