A Subject Expert on South American/Caribbean at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, (NARC) Brig Gen AOD Okoro has said that, for Nigeria to achieve its fully economic potentials, it must diversify the economy. He also urged the States in Nigeria to diversify and leverage on the vast potentials of tourism and culture as a robust source of economic growth and job availability.
This was made known on Wednesday 3 June, 2020 at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) Abuja, during the maiden Subject Experts presentation titled “AN OVERVIEW OF SOUTH AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN, LESSONS FOR NIGERIA”, chaired by the Director General NARC Maj Gen GA Wahab (Rtd).

According to the Presenter, Nigeria should create and leverage on a strong relationship with South American countries like Argentina and Brazil so as to tap and develop adequately in areas of agriculture and industrialization. He further emphasized on the need to maintain a strong Afro-centric and cultural tie with South America/Caribbean so as to reap the dividends of each others cultural diversity.
Present at the event were the Executive Director, NARC Consult Maj Gen CO Udeh, other Subjects Experts and Directors of NARC.
