The outgoing Director General (DG) of Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) Major General Johnny Hamakim (rtd) has wished the incoming DG Major General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (rtd) God’s guidance and wisdom in his new endeavour.
This was revealed in a brief ceremony at the DG’s Office during the official handing and taking over of office at the Centre. Major General Hamakim (rtd) said his stay at the NARC was memorable and wonderful. He congratulated the incoming DG on his new appointment and wishes him well.
Major General Garba Wahab (rtd) was born in Ilorin, Kwara State on 27 August 1958; he was commission as a Lieutenant into the Nigerian Army Corp of Military Police on 10 December 1983. He retired from active service on 28 January 2015.
Maj Gen Wahab was former General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division Nigerian Army (NA). He was also appointed Chief of Administration (COA) at the Army Headquarters. He is married with children, his hobbies includes reading, writing, watching football and following sports generally.
