The Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) recently held a send-off ceremony in honour of two senior officers who served meritoriously at the centre.
The affected seniors are: Brigadier Jamiu Jimoh and Colonel Oladapo Akerele. While Brigadier General JAL Jimoh who served as a Research Fellow at the centre has been posted to the Nigerian Army School of Artillery, Colonel Oladapo Akerele who served as the Acting Director Finance and Accounts has proceeded on retirement after an exemplary service in the Nigerian Army.
In his remarks, the Director General (DG) (NARC), Major General Garba Wahab (Rtd) commended the senior officers for their contributions and selfless service to the centre, Nigerian Army and the nation in general. He also urged them to be good ambassadors of the centre wherever they go. The DG wished the senior officers God’s guidance in whatever they do in the new phase of their lives.
Brigadier General Jamiu Jimoh in his vote of thanks appreciated the Director General and the Management of Staff of NARC for the honour done to them. He said it was a great honour for them to serve at the centre and promised to continue to be good ambassadors of the centre.
High point of the ceremony was the presentation of souvenirs and gift items to the senior officers by the DG in appreciation of their selfless service to the Centre and the Nigerian Army.
