The recently inaugurated proficiency language courses organized by the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) in collaboration with Laclic Services Limited (LSL) has been extended for another period of one month to enable personnel gain more knowledge and understanding of the three major Nigerian indigenous languages which are Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa.
This extension of the course duration is intended to give the Nigerian Army (NA) personnel attending the course additional opportunity to enhance their proficiency. The Director General Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Major General Johnny Hamakim (rtd) has therefore enjoined all participants to make extra efforts in learning the languages in order to justify the resources committed towards ensuring the attainment of the course objectives. It would be recalled that personnel of the Nigerian Army were recently inducted into the proficiency language courses held at the NARC, Abuja. The languages covered in the course include French, German, English, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Swahili as well as Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa.
It is heartwarming to note that the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai has magnanimously paid the course fee for all participants nominated by the Nigerian Army units and formations across the country. The Director Training NARC, Brig Gen SN Bitrus while addressing the students in their various classes thanked the partners and the team of resource persons for their commitment to the success of the collaboration as well as the students for the enthusiasm they have demonstrated towards the course. He assured the students that proficiency in any of the courses will enhance their professional output as well as their personal interaction with others.
