The Nigerian Prize for Leadership Ambassadors’ Course 002/2021 on Friday, 26 November 2021visited the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), Abuja. The team leader, and the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Prize for Leadership, Dr Ike Neliaku, stated that they were at the NARC Abuja to benefit from the wealth of experience of the Director-General and the management staff and also appraise the Centre’s contribution to national security and development.
After that, the Director-General, Major General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (rtd), briefed them on the Centre and further stressed the importance of leadership in any society. He enumerated the efforts of the Centre towards enhancing human resource development in the Nigerian Army and the nation at large through courses, programmes and collaborations with other stakeholders and local and international organisations and institutions.
He also reiterated the pertinent and critical roles of the youths in national development and national security. He urged them to work hard, communicate and contribute their utmost best to benefit the nation and humanity, and be good ambassadors of the NPL and the country wherever they found themselves. The Director-General further urged them to initiate and promote things that will enhance Nigeria’s national unity and security adding that, there cannot be development. The Highpoints of the event were a presentation of souvenirs, a group photograph and a guided tour to the Nigerian Army Museum.
The Nigerian Prize for Leadership Ambassadors’ programme 002/2021 is a one-month intensive leadership programme aimed at imbibing Nigerian youths’ leadership qualities, starting on 15th November and ending on 13th December 2021. The participants are Nigerians with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and are between the age of 21 to 35 years.
FIRST SAMARITAN LOVE FOUNDATION ALSO VISITS NARC
In a related development, the First Samaritan Love Foundation (FISALOF), led by Comrade Dandaura Takalis, also paid a courtesy visit to the DG. The visit aimed to seek possible areas of collaboration with the Centre to furtherance FISALOF’s mission in sensitising schools’ administrators and students on values that will enhance school security in the country.
Today, Leadership Ambassadors under the auspices of the Leadership Advancement Foundation paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC). The visit took place at Conference Hall C of the Centre in Abuja.
