The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is set to partner the Nigerian Army Resource Centre on the development of Information Technology in the Nigerian Army, to improve military training and capacity building in the areas of Information Communication Technology.
Speaking during a Board Meeting held in his honour, the Director National Information Technology Development Agency, Dr Abdullahi Usman expressed among others the intention of the Agency to partner the Army Think-Thank to domesticate Information Communications Development at Nigerian Army Resource Computer Learning Centre, in order to promote research activities and enhance digital inclusion of all Nigerians.
In his response, the Director General Nigerian Army Resource Centre Maj Gen Johnny Hamakim (Rtd) stated that the NARC is conceptualized as a problem solving Centre in the Nigerian Army with the mandate to proffer research solutions to defence and security problems bordering the NA and the country at large. He added that the partnership will further expand the tentacles of the Centre to improve military training and capacity building for the NA on the area of Information Communication Technology.
