The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt Gen Tukur Yusufu Buratai has urged the Nigerian Army Education Corps (NAEC), particularly the Commandants, Divisional and Brigade Education Officers as well as Nigerian Army Schools administrators, to effectively utilize the knowledge gained from the 4 – day Training Workshop for an overall academic excellence in schools.
The COAS who was represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans (Army) Lt Gen Lamidi O. Adesoun stated this on Thursday 24th September 2020, at the closing ceremony of the 4 –day Training Workshop organised for NAEC officers on professional leadership and management of the Nigerian Army Schools, held at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), Abuja.
He further commended the facilitators of the workshop, DEVTARG Nigeria Ltd, Director General NARC and staff of the Centre for their efforts.
The workshop which was organised by NARC in collaboration with Development Targets Limited (DEVTARG LTD) had the theme “Improved Professional Leadership as the Panacea for Effective Management of Nigerian Army Schools” was in synchronization with the COAS’ vision and drive to enhance professionalism in the NA, particularly in all its institutions and schools.
The high point of the event was the presentation of certificates of participation to the participants. Those in attendance at the ceremony include the Corps Commander, NAEC, Major General MM Bunza, Consultants and Directors of the Nigerian Army Resource Centre and senior officers from the NAEC.
