YOU MUST PRACTICE TO LEARN AND UNDERSTAND – DG NARC

The Director General, Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), Maj General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (Rtd) has advised personnel of the Centre to always practice, learn and understand in order to make perfection in any field of their endeavors.

He stated this on Tuesday 21 January, 2020 at the NARC Conference Hall B, Abuja  during a seminar titled “Referencing Tools for Strategic and Academic Writing” delivered by Major Christopher Basharu Obida. The seminar was aimed at introducing tools and resources for effective academic referencing, with a view to simplifying referencing efforts during research.

The guest speaker outlined that research and development creates foundation for new technologies, underpins wide ranging applications for advanced weapons and systems that provide intelligence, medical treatment and troop support.

He further described plagiarism as the act of presenting another’s work or idea as your own without giving credit to the creator. Adding that, this can be checked through software known as Turn It In.

The DG further appreciated the resource person and the entire staff of the Centre for making themselves available for the seminar. He equally implored the resource person to be available for the second phase of the seminar which will be organised for the participants of Strategic Management and Policy Studies Course.
