The Director General Nigerian Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Maj Gen Garba Ayodeji Wahab (Rtd ) has said, for every promotion, the attitude and behaviors of those promoted start counting.He stated this during the decoration ceremony of the newly promoted soldiers of the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja, that benefited from the recent promotion exercise of the Nigerian Army.A total of seventeen soldiers serving in the Centre were all elevated to their respective higher ranks which cut across from the rank of Private Soldiers to the rank of Warrant officers. In another Developme, the Centre used the occasion to bid farewell to some of the senior officers who served meritoriously at the Centre and have been posted to other formations of the Nigerian Army.Maj Gen Wahab (Rtd) further adviced the newly promoted soldiers to brace up in order to be responsive in discharging their duties. He also thanked the wives of the newly promoted soldiers for keeping the family on behalf of their husbands.Maj Gen Preye Fakrogha, a Senior Research Fellow in the Centre, in words of advice, urged the newly decorated soldiers to continue to be disciplined and responsive in all assigned tasks given to them because “to whom much is given, much is also expected “. He said. He further encouraged the Celebrants to inculcate in themselves the quality of leadership now that they are elevated. Also, the Regimental Sergeant Major of the Centre, Master Warrant Officer Abdulahi Lawal in his remarks, congratulated the promoted soldiers and urged them to redoubled their efforts in discharging their responsibilities. In his vote of thanks, Warrant Officer Kato Emmanuel on behalf of the newly decorated soldiers, expressesed profound gratitude to the almighty God who has been faithful in keeping them alive to witness their promotion. He also thanked the Chief Of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai for graciously approving their promotion. Warrant Officer Kato Emmanuel thanked the Director General for his fatherly advice and mentorship. Present at the ceremony were senior officers, soldiers, civilian staff of the Centre, families, friends and well wishers of newly decorated soldiers.
