The Nigerian army will be holding its Second Research and Innovation Summit from 17 – 20 April 2018 at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Asokoro, Abuja. The event will focus on developing indigenous capacity in Nigeria’s Defence Sector towards addressing the operational requirements of the Nigerian Army. The theme of the summit is: “Developing Local Content in Nigerian’s Defence Sector for Sustainable Combat Efficiency of the Nigerian Army”. The Summit is therefore expected to bring together Nigerian Army corps, Formations, Schools and research Institutions as well as participants from the government, private sector and academia. The event will also attract local and international defence industries with a view to harnessing local content for enhance military application.
The event would enable the public see various innovations undertaken by the Nigerian Army with a view to exploring possible areas of collaboration. Stands will also be provided at the venue for interested participants to showcase products and innovations that have military application.
