Angela Nwizu-Okoye was born on 18th September 1985, hails from Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State. A graduate of the University of Maiduguri and Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna in B. Sc Political Science and Master, Conflict Security and Development, 2009 and 2017 respectively. She won “Most Creative” Corps Member Batch C 2009/2010, Iseyin LGA, Oyo State. A member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered). She is a researcher at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja. She has an extensive research portfolio and writings on national and global issues. Her areas of interest are terrorism, defence, good governance, African religion and humanitarian. She is an author of a book review _Biography of Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Abu-Ali: Courage to the End (Nigerian Army Resource Centre, 2020),_ unpublished works and editor of special magazines. She enjoys critical discussions, nature-watch, watching and analysing football.
