The Director General (DG) Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) Major General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (rtd) inaugurated Professional Conflict Management and Alternative Dispute Resolution Accreditation and Certification Course. The Inauguration Ceremony was held at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre Conference Hall B TY Buratai Block in Abuja on Monday 24 January 2022 .
In his inaugural address, the DG welcomed all the participants to the course. He pointed out that , we have a challenge, and we believe that the solution to the challenge must come from within us and therefore admonished the participants to feel free to socialise with one another which is the essence of bringing personnel from different organisations to learn more about conflicts management.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Team Leads, also a member of the Advisory Board of Mediation Training Institute, Prof Isaac Albert highlighted the Course objectives which is creating and understanding of idea generation and problem-solving as well as equipping participants with capacity and technicality of using professional ways of finding lasting solutions to problems in Nigeria. It is expected that at the end of the course, participants would be able to learn new skills on using a professional way in conflict management. The programme is aimed at equipping participants with requisite skills for building and sustaining relationship while promoting peace and harmonious coexistence in their prospective domains.
The Inauguration ceremony was attended by the Management Staff of Nigerian Army Resource Centre and Mediation Training Institute.
