The Weekly Subject Expert Presentations for this week ended on a high note today at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja. Briefings from two Senior Research Fellows and Subject Experts were presented at Conference Hall B, TY Buratai Block. They made presentations on the current happenings in their areas of coverage and drew analysis and lessons for Nigeria, made recommendations, which were further bolstered by a robust interactive session.
Brigadier General TI Gusau, the Subject Expert for Southern Africa was the first to present his brief. He gave details of new developments in Southern Africa and focused his analysis on the headline- ‘Angola to Reduce $20 Billion out of its $25Billion Debt to China ’ Drawing parallels with Nigeria’s indebtedness to China, he discussed the implications for Nigeria and proferred solutions and ways forward.
The final presentation was by Brigadier General EJ Amadasun, the Subject Expert for North America. His brief was centred on the headline ”74% of North Americans suffering from ‘Air Quality Anxiety’’. Delving deeper into this issue, issues of climate were discussed and the challenge of pollution in Nigeria was discussed with its connotations for the Nigerian Health environment and the Security of the Nation was also discussed.
Present at the briefings were the Executive Director, Nigerian Army Resource Centre Consult, Major General JGK Myam, Director of Research, Professor CBN Ogbogbo and other management staff, Senior Research Fellows, and Research Fellows, Consultants, Senior Officers and other staff of the Centre.
