The Director General (DG), Nigeria Army Resource Centre ( NARC), Major General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (Rtd) today Thursday, 13 October 2022 decorated 28 newly promoted Soldier who benefitted from the recent promotion exercises conducted by the Nigerian Army. The event took place at Conference Hall C, TY Buratai Block of the Centre in Abuja. 17 Soldier from the Centre got promoted while 11 students soldiers who are participants of the Indigenous Languages Proficiency Course 11/12 also got promoted. 1 Staff Sargent was promoted to the rank Warrant Officer, 4 Sergents to Staff Sargent, 8 Corprals promoted to Sergent while 15 Lance Corporals were also promoted to Corporal respectively which brings to a total number of 28 soldiers.
The Director General in his remarks congratulated the soldiers on their promotion and adviced them to re-double thier effort and perform better than they did before, adding that the have been compensated for thier hardwork and that the challenge is back to them to prove themselves now . “The Nigerian Army has found you worthy of this promotion and you must live up to that expectation”, he said.
While delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of the newly promoted Soldiers, Warrant Officer Sunday Omochoko thanked the Almighty God for sparing their lives to witness this great elevation to a new rank in the Nigerian Army. He also thanked the Chief of Army Staff for finding them worthy of the promotion. Sunday also thanked the DG NARC for his mentorship and fatherly role that he plays in their lives. He also thanked their family members for being there for him when she needed them most.
Present at the ceremony were the Executive Director Consult, NARC, Major General JGK Myam, Directors, Senior officers both serving and retired, civilian staff of the Centre, families and friends of the celebrants.
