The Director General (DG), Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), Major General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (Rtd) on Friday 16, 2022 held a graduation ceremony for participants of Human Resource Management Course, Stream 3/2022.
The graduation ceremony was held at the NARC Conference Hall E, ML Agwai Block of the Centre in Abuja after a 5-day intensive training and learning on Human Resource Management for career planning of personnel of the Nigerian Army.
In his closing remarks, the DG said that the course was designed for officers of the Nigerian Army from the rank of Lieutenant Colonel to Brigadier General.
According to him, the course focused on preparing the officers with the ability to develop their career, build individual capacity and harness the human resources for the benefit of personnel and organisation among others. The Director General further state that officers must be trained on how to administer resources and personnel at the right place and at the right time.
The Programme Cordinator, Brigadier General Ferdinand Eze (Rtd), in his course highlights appreciated the Chief of Army Staff for providing all the necessary requirements needed for the success of the course and commended the Director General for providing a conducive environment for the smooth conduct of the training programme. He noted that the course 14 officers were trained specifically on Ethics, Tradition and Work Culture, Human Resource Development, Conflict Management, Team Building, and Emotional Intelligence among others. He also commended the participants for their good conduct throughout the period of the course.
In his vote of thanks on behalf of the course participants, Lieutenant Colonel DO Ogueri said the course was well designed and packaged as it broadened their horizons on issues ranging from Ethics, Tradition and Work Culture, Recruitment Selection, Goal Setting and Conflict Management among others. He commended the Centre for affording them the opportunity to participate in the course and pledged to deploy the knowledge acquired during the course in carrying out their tasks in their various units and formations and in future endeavours.
High point of the ceremony was the presentation of certificates to the course participants by the DG.
