The Director General (DG), Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), Major General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (Ryd) on Friday 30, 2022 held a graduation ceremony for the participants of Human Resource Management Course, Stream 2/2022.
The graduation ceremony took place at the NARC Conference Hall E, ML Agwai Block in Abuja after a 5-day intensive training and learning.
In his closing remarks, the DG said that the course was designed for officers of the Nigerian Army from the rank of Lieutenant to Major.
According to him, the course was grounded and centred on equipping the participants with the ability to handle workplace empowerment and retention, build individual capacity and harness the human resources for the benefit of personnel and organisation among others. He observed that every workplace is governed by ethnics, therefore, officers must be trained on how to administer resources and personnel at the right place and at the right time. General Wahab challenged the participants to apply emotional intelligence while dealing with their subordinates as things have changed.
The Programme Cordinator, Brigadier General Ferdinand Eze (Rtd), appreciated the Chief of Army Staff for providing all the necessary things needed for the success of the course and commended the Director General for providing a conducive environment for the smooth conduct of the training programme.
In his vote of thanks on behalf of the course participants, Major Danjuma commended the Centre for affording them the opportunity to participate in the course and pledged to deploy the knowledge acquired during the course in performing their tasks in their various units and formations and in future endeavours. He said that the knowledge has opened their horizons in understanding recruitment and selection process, ethics, traditional and work culture. human resource development, fundamentals of record management as well as emotional intelligence.
The high point of the ceremony was the presentation of certificates to the course participants by the DG.
