The Director General (DG), Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), Major General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (Rtd) today Tuesday, 20 September 2022 decorated four newly promoted student officers, who benefitted from the recent promotion exercises conducted by the Nigerian Army. They have been elevated from the rank of Captain to the rank of Major. The affected officers are: Captain Tayo Ayeni, Captain John Amulejoye, Captain Samuel Ibrahim and Captain CC Onyeahialam who are participants of the Indigenous Languages Proficiency Course 11/2022 at the NARC. The event took place at Conference Hall “C”, TY Buratai Block of the Centre in Abuja.
The Director General in his remarks admonished the newly promoted senior officers to re-double their efforts and perform better than they did before, adding that they are being compensated for their hardwork and that the challenge is back to them because they are now Commanding Officers in the operational ground. “The Nigerian Army has found you worthy by promoting you, you must live up to that expectation”, he said.
While delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of the other celebrants, Major Tayo Ayeni thanked the almighty God for sparing thier lives to witness the remarkable elevation to a new higher rank in the Nigerian Army. He also thanked the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya for finding them worthy of the promotion. The senior officer thanked the DG NARC for giving them a conducive learning environment and decorates them in a most remarkable manner. He appreciated all their family members for being there for them when the needed them most.
Present at the ceremony were the Director General, Nigerian Army Resource Centre , Directors, Senior officers, families, friends and some of the student officers on course.
