The Director General (DG), Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), Major General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (Rtd), today, 26 of September 2022 inaugurated participants of Human Resource Management Course, stream two for the year 2022. The Inauguration ceremony was held at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre Conference Hall ‘E’ ML Agwai Block in Abuja. The course is designed for officers from the rank of Lieutenant to the rank of major in the Nigerian Army.
In his inaugural address, the DG pointed out that, Human Resource Management Course, designed for officers from the rank of Lieutenant to the rank of Major is designed to train personnel on how to administer their men for effective results. He noted that officers must learn how to administer their men effectively and must be able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of their subordinates adding that by so doing, it will help them to work as a team. He also challenged the participants to be open minded and learn something for the few days the will be at the Centre.
Earlier, the Course Coordinator, who is also the Consultant on Information Communications and Technology (ICT), Brigadier General Ferdinand Eze (Rtd) in his welcome address highlighted the course objectives which are: to deepen the understanding and harness human resources for the benefit of both personnel and the organisations, equip participants with the ability to handle workplace empowerment and retention and to develop participants ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of different individuals in an organisation and manage same to achieve organisational goals among others.
The ceremony was attended by the DG NARC, Major General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (Rtd), Director, NARC Consult, Brigadier General CA Dalhatu, Director of Administration Brigadier General HI Mabeokwu, Director Military History, Brigadier General MO Ajala and other senior officers of the Centre.
