The Harvard Kennedy Pilot School recently at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) organized a training programme specifically packaged for members of the Armed Forces, other security agencies and their civilian counterparts to enhance their skills on strategic leadership and decision making in an uncertain world.
The aim of the course was to re-orientate the participants on strategic leadership and related issues. It was meant to impart on participants the knowledge and skills of leadership, in order to enhance their capacities and competences for creativity and innovativeness in the face of scarcity, uncertainty and inadequacies especially in the days of national economic recession.

The training is meant to enhance leadership potentials and abilities to overcome current complex leadership challenges in the Nigerian Army (NA). To further buttress this, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt Gen TY Buratai has placed additional emphasis at all levels of training in the NA, to create new opportunities for more courses especially at the operational and strategic levels within and outside Nigeria to achieve a constant mix of ideas at the top echelon of the NA.
This has informed the establishment of NARC as a Think-Tank to proffer solutions to defence and national security issues as a platform for interaction of experts and intellectual drivers for collaboration, partnership and host to institutions and Centre’s of knowledge.
In addition, the Director General (DG) NARC Maj Garba Adedeji Wahab (Retired) congratulated all participants. He enjoined them to put into practice what they have gained on the course of the training programme. The high point of the event was the presentation of certificates to participants at the end of the five-day programme.
