The Director General (DG), Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), Maj Gen Johnny Hamakim (rtd) has advised the newly promoted Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Zidon Bitrus to prepare for second career prospect because the years he has put in the service of the nation is much more than what is left for him in the service.
This was made known during the decoration ceremony of the Senior Non Commission Officer (SNCO) who benefitted from the Chief of Army of Army Staff recent promotion 2018.
The DG who was represented by the Director of Administration, Brig Gen AA Orukotan advised MWO Zidon not to allow the elevation to his enviable rank affect his lifestyle negatively. He enjoined his wife, Mrs Rifkatu Zidon and the entire family (who have been very supportive) not to relent but join hands to plan ahead.
In his remarks, the Deputy Director (DD), Administration, Col WL Nzide congratulated MWO Zidon for his elevation. He equally advised him to let the increase of his elevation affect his family positively.
On his part, the Regimental Sergeant Major, NARC, MWO Abdullahi also congratulated MWO Zidon for his elevation. He attributed the promotion to God and enjoined him to continue to work harder.
In his vote of thanks, MWO Zidon thanked the almighty God, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt Gen TY Buratai and DG NARC Maj Gen JGS Hamakim (rtd) for finding him worthy of the enviable rank. He said, elevation couldn’t have been made possible without the support of his family and colleagues. He assured all present that he will justify the trust reposed in him.
MWO Zidon Bitrus was born into the family of Capt (rtd) and Mrs Seapuro Zidon in Azare Local Government of Bauchi State on 5 March 1965. He attended Nassarawa Primary School Jimeta, Yola (1974-1979) from where he proceeded to the prestigious Barewa College, Zaria for his WASC. He bagged BA Theology from Bronnom Lutheran Seminary, Mbamba, Yola. He is happily married to Mrs Rifkatu B Zidon and the marriage is blessed with seven children.
