The Chief of Army Staff Mali recently paid a courtesy visit at Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja.
The Malian Army Chief Col Major Abdurrahman Baby, said the aim of the visit was to explore areas of military cooperation between the two countries, adding that the Malian army had a lot to learn from its Nigerian counterpart.
Speaking, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Tukur Buratai who was represented by the Commander Army Headquarters Garrison, Maj Gen Malu urged that there is need for the two counties to collaborate, more especially in the war against terrorism and insurgency. He also believed that the Nigerian military would decimate the remaining terrorists while receiving the Malian chief.
