A team from NARC visited DCDC Shirvenham United Kingdom on 21 Jan 16 with a view to establishing a working relationship with the Centre. The team had fruitful deliberations with the Director R Adm John Kingwell and 7 other senior officers. The DCDC is an MOD think tank with mandate to produce concepts and doctrine, underpinned by thorough research and experimentation, for defence. During the visit, the Head of Futures Department who is anchoring the regional survey of Africa invited the NARC to participate in the regional survey. This would provide the NARC with an opportunity to map out the threats and challenges that would emanate from within the continent in the near and distant future. The Head of Department has also promised to visit Nigeria in March in this regard
