The Army Command and NAOWA Hospital Abuja, today celebrates the Nurses International Week for the year 2022 by conducting a Medical Outreach at Hall A, TY Buratai Block, Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), Abuja.
The Chief Medical Director, Col JN Umezurike (Rtd) who was represented by Maj JO Amadi (Rtd) in his remark said , the world celebrates Nurses from 6 – 12 May every year which is known as ‘International Nurses Week Celebration’. The Army Command and NAOWA Hospital selected NARC as one of the locations for the Medical Outreach. “We have come to share our joy with you in marking this Year’s Nurses Week and to remind you on the important roles Nurses play in our society and also to appreciate them”, he said.
Responding, the representative of the Director General, Major General JGK Myam, the Executive Director Consult, NARC, expressed his profound gratitude to the medical team for selecting NARC as one of the locations to symbolically mark the Nurses International week. He also said that medical fitness must be the priority of everyone either young or old and should also be given special attention. High point of the event was Blood Pressure (B/P) checks by NARC staff and presentation of souvenir to the team on behalf of the Centre.
The medical outreach was attended by senior officers, soldiers, civilian staff and Corps members serving at the Centre.
