Brigadier General Gabriel Olufemi Esho
About
Brig Gen Gabriel Olufemi Esho was born on 14 January 1975. He hails from Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State. The senior officer attended Nigerian Military School Zaria from 1986 to 1992 and was admitted into the Nigerian Defence Academy as a member of 46 Regular Course in August 1994. He was subsequently commissioned into the NA as a Second Lieutenant on 18 September 1999 as an Artillery officer. The senior officer holds Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Masters in Security and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy and Member of National Institute of Management.
Brig Gen Esho has served in the various units which include 332 Artillery Regiment Shendam as Troop Commander, Depot Nigerian Army Zaria as Instructor, Nigerian Defence Academy as Instructor, Commanding Officer 312 Artillery Regiment Kaduna, Commanding Officer 375 Artillery Regiment Baga, Chief of Staff Sector 3 Artillery Brigade Mongunu, Garrison Commander 33 Artillery Brigade Bauchi. Brig Gen Esho’s last appointment was Chief Instructor Short Service Wing, Nigerian Defence Academy before his present appointment as the Director of Administration, Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja. The senior officer has attended several courses such as Young Officers’ Course Artillery Kontagora, Battery Commanders’ Course Kachia and Regimental Commanders’ Course, Kachia, Army War College Nigeria and National Defence College, Abuja to mention but a few.
Brig Gen Esho has the following Awards and Decorations to his credit: Forces Service Star, Meritorious Service Star, Passed Logistics Staff Course, Passed Staff Course, Fellow War College, Fellow Defence College, Command Medal, General Operations Medal and MNJTF medal. At his leisure, He enjoys watching live programmes. The senior officer is married to Mrs Omowumi Esho and the union is blessed with 3 children.
