About
Onwaniban Evelyn is a Researcher, Consultant, and Author. She is doctoral student at Department of History, University of Ibadan, Nigeria where she obtained her master’s degree with a Ph.D. grade (distinction) in 2015. Onwaniban obtained her Bachelor of Arts (B.A. International Studies and Diplomacy) degree from the University of Benin with a Second-Class Upper Division. Onwaniban is a UI Scholar having won the 2018/2019 University of Ibadan Postgraduate College Teaching and Research Assistant Scholarship. She also won the Lagos Studies Association (LSA) Mentoring Programme for Women Graduate Students in Nigeria in 2019.
Onwaniban has extensive publication in reputable journals and books, and has taught courses in history and international relations in the University of Ibadan and Admiralty University of Nigeria respectively, where she doubled as a lecturer and researcher. Her research area is Africa and bestrides aspects of military/security and Gender studies. She is currently a Research Fellow at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja.
